Helment by KayeI am writing this just to let parents know that before their child gets on a horse, they must buy them a helmet and see that they wear it.
My cousin's daughter was riding one evening and her horse took off on her, she fell off, hit her head and shoulder, and was unconscious when she arrived at the hospital. Finally, when she came around she did not know who she was or know anyone around her. Within 18 hours she made a full recovery (Thank God).
Two weeks later a friend's family member went riding with his dad and fell off a horse. Again without a helmet. Unfortunately, this very young boy did not make it.
Please parents, would you put your child on a quad or motorcycle with out a helmet? Don't for get one of the most important parts of your child's riding equipment (the helmet).
