Horse bucks me off, Never expected it... by TaylorI was riding my Belgian Draft mare through some snow during a trail ride. We were going along smoothly at a trot, when my Mare spotted a deer standing in the middle of the trail. She then took a gigantic leap forward and started bucking explosively. I stayed on for about 4 bucks, but then flew off on the right side. Luckily, once I was off my Mare’s back, she galloped away. As I got up, I decided to go catch my mount, when I felt my hair through my helmet. As I took of my helmet, it fell apart in my hands. Ever since then, I’ve been bucked off hundreds of times by horses, but each time I’ve survived because I wear my helmet 100% of the time.
